FAQs

  • We have agreements with most major insurance companies and can accept their coverage. However, we regret to inform you that we do not have a network agreement with Kaiser. Additionally, some insurance providers such as Tri-Care, Medicaid, Peach-Care, Well-Care, and Peach-State do not include chiropractic in their coverage. If you are unsure whether your insurance plan is accepted, please contact us. If your insurance company is in our network, we can even verify your benefits for you.

  • Starting May 2021, we introduced a discount program for self-pay patients called Chiro Health USA. This program is not insurance, but a network that enables us to legally reduce our fees for patients who opt to join. For just $49 per year, you, your spouse, and your legal dependents can be covered under the program. Please note that the program does not renew automatically.

  • Chiropractors are required to complete a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree program, which typically takes four years to complete. During this time, they receive extensive training in anatomy, physiology, diagnosis, and chiropractic techniques.

In addition to completing their degree, chiropractors must also pass national board exams and obtain a license to practice in their state. Some chiropractors may also pursue additional certifications or training in specialized areas of chiropractic care.

  • Dr. Meininger may use a range of techniques, including spinal adjustments, soft tissue manipulation, therapeutic exercise, and lifestyle counseling, depending on your specific needs and goals for treatment. Some of the chiropractic techniques that Dr. Meininger is trained and experienced in include Gonstead, Activator, Diversified, Cox, Flexion Distraction including Decompression, Thompson, Webster Technique, and Cranial Techniques. After conducting a thorough evaluation and assessing your condition, Dr. Meininger will recommend a personalized treatment plan that may incorporate one or more of these techniques to help alleviate your symptoms and achieve your treatment goals.

  • The cost of treatment with Dr. Meininger may vary depending on factors such as the duration and frequency of treatment, as well as the patient's insurance coverage. Patients are encouraged to discuss fees and payment options with Dr. Meininger's office staff.

  • The number of sessions required for treatment with Dr. Meininger varies based on the patient's condition and response to treatment. Dr. Meininger develops a personalized treatment plan that considers the patient's specific needs and goals, which may involve adjusting the frequency of sessions and techniques used. Periodic reassessment ensures that treatment is safe and effective.

  • Typically, a first chiropractic visit may be longer than follow-up visits, as the chiropractor will need to perform a thorough evaluation, including taking a medical history, performing a physical examination, and possibly ordering diagnostic tests.

Subsequent visits may range from 15 minutes to an hour, with most visits lasting around 30 minutes. During these visits, the chiropractor may perform spinal adjustments, soft tissue manipulation, and other techniques designed to alleviate pain and improve mobility.

Ultimately, the duration of each session will depend on the specific needs of the patient and the treatment plan developed by the chiropractor. It is important for patients to communicate with their chiropractor about their preferences and any concerns they may have about the duration of treatment sessions. This can help ensure that treatment is effective and comfortable for the patient.

  • Some common risks and side effects of chiropractic treatment may include temporary soreness or discomfort, headache, dizziness, and fatigue. These side effects are usually mild and go away on their own within a few days.

In rare cases, more serious side effects can occur, such as stroke or nerve damage. However, it is important to note that these serious side effects are extremely rare, and the overall safety record of chiropractic care is very good.
